Circular Connectors

MIL-DTL-38999 Series I ( MS27XXX )

MIL-DTL-38999 Series I is a bayonet coupling subminiature configuration with high contact density, ideal for smaller wire gauge, general-purpose applications, with shell sizes ranging from 9 to 25 with over 50 QPL approved insert arrangements. These environment-resisting connectors are 100% scoop-proof. Pins are recessed in elongated shells to prevent the possibility of bending contacts when plugs are scooped into the mating receptacles.

MIL-DTL-38999 connectors are available in a wide range of shell materials and finishes. Aluminum shells are offered in electroless nickel, olive drab cadmium and bright cadmium. In addition, we offer passivated stainless-steel shells with standard environment-resisting inserts, and for highly corrosive environments, nickel-aluminum-bronze shells with standard environment-resisting inserts.

MIL-DTL-38999 Series II ( MS27XXX )

MIL-DTL-38999 Series II connectors feature a bayonet coupling mechanism with lower profile design and rear-removable crimp contact retention system. These connectors were designed for military and commercial applications where the prime requirements are lower profile and lighter weight.

In MIL-DTL-38999 Series II connectors, reduction of both size and weight were achieved
through the use of thinner shell walls and length restrictions. These design restrictions reduced the RFI attenuation characteristics and the "scoop" protection, while yielding an excellent general purpose, lightweight connector. Compared to Series I, Series II connectors achieve up to 20% reduction in mated pair length, up to 39% reduction in outside diameter and up to 40% reduction in weight (128 pin mated pair).

MIL-DTL-38999 Series III (D38999 / EN3645 / BACC63)

Designed for both general purpose and harsh environment applications, D38999 connectors feature one-turn coupling with a self-locking acme thread. They also offer full 360° RFI-EMI shielding, high vibration and corrosion resistance, and scoop-proof contact protection. The thicker wall sections and greater coupling surface area of these robust connectors result in improved strength and shock resistance.

Our D38999 connectors are available in composite, aluminum, and stainless-steel shells. Select from a wide range of finishes, including aluminum olive drab cadmium, composite and aluminum nickel, aluminum black zinc nickel, and stainless-steel passivated plating. RoHS-compliant, cadmium-free, EN3645 and Boeing BACC-compliant options also available.

MIL-DTL-26500 Series

MIL-DTL-26500 high-performance connectors offer environmental sealing, bayonet and threaded coupling, and front-release crimp contacts. MIL-DTL-26500 connectors are ideal for avionics and aircraft applications for example in the seat cabling and in-flight entertainment systems in the cabin. And that for a good reason: The well-tried connector series combine long-standing industry know-how with the latest innovations and technologies. Part prefixes MS24264, MS24265, and MS24266 as well as Boeing Spec BACC45 and BACC63.

MIL-DTL-5015 Series & Bayonet Connectors (VG95234)

MIL-DTL-5015 connectors are used wherever robust and safe electrical connections with metal housings are required. Optimum solutions are offered by the large number of contact arrangements, shell types and shell sizes. The most important key data of these connectors are:

Housing: Aluminum alloy for high mechanical strength with low weight.

Surface Processing: Standard is olive green chromated over cadmium for corrosion resistance   and use in extreme operating conditions. Also available are RoHS compliant surfaces nickel, zinc   cobalt (black), zinc cobalt (green).

Contact Insulator: The standard material for insulators is neoprene (polychloroprene), which   offers high insulation resistance, high dielectric strength and shock and vibration resistance.

Contacts: Copper silver or gold plated, available for currents ranging from 10 amps to 150 amps.   Both solder and crimp terminals are available.

The large number of over 110 insert assemblies in 14 package sizes for power, signal or combinations of power and signal configurations cover a wide range of applications.

On request, connectors with leading contacts, earth contact connection to the housing, EMI RFI shielding, PG adapters and cable glands (PG and metric) are available.

MIL-DTL-83723 Connectors

MIL-DTL-83723 connectors combine the best features of MIL-DTL-26500 and NAS 1599 miniature connector specifications. They are intermateable with both bayonet and threaded 26500 connectors.

In addition they have the added advantage of the rear-release contact retention system and are available in a wide range of shell materials and finishes. The aluminum shells are offered in electroless nickel, olive drab cadmium, and black anodic. Passivated stainless steel shells with both standard and firewall-rated inserts are also available.

These connectors are widely used on commercial, military and aerospace systems requiring general-purpose, miniature cylindrical bayonet or threaded coupling connectors. In addition, Series III threaded connectors with self-locking plugs are well suited for engine applications.

This family of connectors (bayonet as well as threaded) is offered in wall mount receptacles as well as jam nut mounted receptacles which incorporate “O” ring seals, designed for rear panel “D” hole mounting.

Series III bayonet-coupling plugs are available in two designs – with and without RFI grounding. Threaded coupling plugs are offered with and without RFI grounding, self-locking and RFI/self-locking. In addition we offer quick-disconnect (lanyard release) plugs, which mate with threaded receptacles via an adapter.

MIL-DTL-26482 Series I ( MS31XX) & Series II ( MS347X)

MIL-DTL-26482 Series I is a quick-disconnect circular connector with a bayonet coupling designed to ensure reliable electrical connections in aircraft. The lightweight and compact size makes the 26482 style connector suitable not just for military and aerospace applications but also industrial and telecommunications applications that require a connector that can hold up in harsh environments.

MIL-DTL-26482 Series II utilizes Rear Release contact retention, in 9 shell sizes (8 to 24). The series offers a variety of insert arrangements and contact sizes, (20, 16 and 12 gage) as well as bayonet coupling mechanism: polarization accomplished by insert rotation. Considering their small size and the fine quality contacts, these connectors are often used in the most ruggedized environments. Industries covered are military and civil aviation, ground military vehicles as well as the harsh industrial application where dust, dirt and other hazardous materials are present. MIL-DTL-26482 intermates with all MIL-DTL-2648 Series I connectors.
